I was an engineer specializing in deepwater drilling. In 2014, while working on a platform in the Gulf of Mexico, I experienced an event that defies explanation. One evening, as our shift was ending, I heard faint singing echoing through the tunnels. It was a haunting, melodic sound, unlike anything I'd heard before. I followed the sound, thinking it was one of the guys messing around. As I ventured deeper, the singing grew louder, but I found no one.

Suddenly, the lights flickered, and I saw a shadowy figure standing at the end of the tunnel, dressed in old mining gear. The figure looked at me, and then disappeared as the lights stabilized.
