In the spring of 2012, I was on a routine delivery from Texas to New Mexico, cruising along a less-traveled backroad to avoid traffic. The scenery was beautiful, with open plains and the occasional tumbleweed rolling by. Little did I know, I was about to experience something truly bizarre.

As I drove, I noticed a peculiar stretch of road that seemed different from the rest. The sky above turned an unusual shade, and the air felt thick, almost electric. Suddenly, my radio began to glitch, flickering between stations before settling on an oldies station playing songs from decades ago. I shrugged it off, thinking it was just a bad signal.

After a while, I noticed the clock on my dashboard was acting strange. It seemed to jump forward and backward, displaying different times every few minutes. Confused but intrigued, I kept driving, hoping to get to the next town soon.

It was a sweltering afternoon in July 2019 when I was hauling a load through the remote stretches of Texas. I had been on the road for hours, and my truck was due for a weigh-in at the nearest station, which was supposed to be just up ahead.
